Now it is on version 6.5, another variation of UNIX, UNIX clone..to me feel like working in Redhat 7 or 8...but well SGI Altix 3000 supercluster is using Linux now, supporting 256 CPU.
Hmm..why i'm taking about this?...it's suprising when i see Irix for the first time..hey i feel familiar with it..:)
That is one of the lecture in my subject of Photogrammetry and Remotesensing. It is very interesting. guess what? phew..! it is all about the complex mathemathic algorithm behinds the Photoshop and those similar program! hehe..it's nice to know about that anyway..now it's not magic..it's mathematics..Oh, may be i have to go and look through the GIMP source code..:)

Open google today, reminding me of James Joyce's most famous literature Ulysses, i used to read that book once few years ago..but never know about Bloomsday of Dublin..May be i forget it all..Pity..! I should have remember some..anyways the book on the shelf..i will reread it again somedays of my free time.

Never think of it before. I just use ESRI product on Windows in normal work. But it is really amazing to found alot of possibilities to use geographic inforamtion system in Linux platform, even ArcExplorer, ArcIMS and ArcSDE. So great! But anyway i have to start to learn it. Unforunately, MySQL still in development of geodatabase extension. However, PostgreSQL is available to use with PostGIS and GRASS sofware, and luckily it is on the right track with OGC standard. RDBMS is still around for some more years, i think, 'till ODBMS popular.
It's look like i'm in the middle of nowhere. But let's try then!
What a beautiful city! it really fascinating. It is really differesnt from what I've ever though. Europe is not the same, it consist of very broad culture and tradition beside the varying language. But I found, Roman Catholic seem to influence very much all over Europe.
