64Bit

on Thursday, March 03, 2005

This week is about Intel Developer Forum, that's interesting to me. As if 32bit processor will end its era within next decade and 64bit is about to rise. It is not something new or innovative with this 'cause AMD have been advertising so much, yet Intel marketing and strategies seem to have huge impact on the industry with their EM64T. With Micosoft Windows XP 64bit Edition and the others in server family is going to release soon, software are going to take advantage of this for higher performance, i'm expecting Photoshop to be the first. And because of processor clock speed won't increasing much, dual core processor will appear with higher cache L2/L3.

But I still want to see smaller form factor of mainboard which led to elegant design as the recent Apple-iMacs.

So don't upgrade ur PC yet!

Development in computer hardware industry really is amazing.

I have not upgraded my old Pentium III just yet. What I am looking for is one with capability to handle digital video well. Do you have experience setting up a custom PC on your own? Probably it is good to learn from you.
