Seasonal Fruit

on Friday, December 07, 2007

One-time visitors to Cambodia may not notice, but frequently tourists may have noticed that there are 2 kinds of fruits, one is available all-year round (likes banana, pineapple or papaya) and the others is seasonal one. If you arrive at during this time, one of most notable fruit is Wood AppleLimonia acidisima L.), flowering since Feb-March. Wood apple ripens during this time, and generally detaches and falls in the morning, (by high and cold windy weather blows from Siberia). But however, seasonal fruits are plentiful during April, mostly edible wild fruits, and some are available in selected region of the country only.
